Yoome

Experimental indie-electronica trio Yoome began at the house of Chicago-based producer/DJ/MC Tony Trimm (blessed Anthony Kim), where he and friend/rapper Serengeti (blessed David Cohn) convened as both were coping with relationship problems. With Trimm managing creation and Serengeti within the mike, both crafted half-a-dozen tunes before they earned New Zealand transplant and vocalist Renee-Louise Carafice. Phoning themselves Yoome, they group documented an album’s well worth of lo-fi, nearly sensitive, indie electronica songs that presented both vocalists similarly, telling different edges from the same, or related, tales. The full-length, The Boredom of Me, was after that released in Oct 2008 on Sound8, a Chicago-based label known because of its experimental roster, and house to both Trimm and Serengeti and several of their numerous side projects.
