Waking Ashland

Since its inception, Waking Ashland — drawing a lot of its sound from Ben Folds — has mainly centered around vocalist/keyboardist Jonathan Jones and guitarist Ryan Lallier, who originally formed the band alongside drummer Thomas Lee in November 2003 while all three were music majors at California State University. Robert Teegarden briefly filled up in on bass. In early 2004, they self-released their debut EP, I Am for you personally, as the lineup was finished by guitarist Nick Rucker and bassist Derek Vaughn changing Teegarden. Rucker and Vaughn shortly left the music group and bassist Andrew Grosse became a member of. The bandmembers lowered out of university when finding achievement using the record and garnering interest from many record labels. Teeth & Nail authorized Waking Ashland and released the full-length Composure in-may 2005. In Sept 2005, Grosse and Lee remaining the music group. Without permanent substitutes, Jones and Lallier utilized temporary touring people that included drummer Joe Greenetz from Sherwood and bassist Trevor Retailers from NUMBER 1 Weapon. In June 2006 Waking Ashland released the Telescopes EP on Immortal. Their following full-length, The Well, made an appearance the following Apr, which featured fresh recruits Nathan Harold (bass) and Tim Extremely (drums).
