Vamps is a task of Hyde, the vocalist from the visual kei superstars L’Arc-en-Ciel, and guitarist K.A.Z., mastermind from the commercial/alternative rock device Oblivion Dirt, who used to utilize Cover of X-Japan aswell. K.A.Z. and Hyde acquired collaborated since 2003, and in 2006 K.A.Z. co-wrote Hyde’s third single album, Faith, nonetheless it was just in 2008 that they finally produced their musical romantic relationship public, announcing the creation of Vamps, that was to be documenting alone label Vamprose. L’Arc-en-Ciel planned a three-year hiatus, while Oblivion Dirt, which ended its six-year break in 2007, was designed to continue on with K.A.Z. splitting his time taken between the two rings.
