Acquiring their name from your acronym for the aviation term Time period Reference Position of Arrival Measurement System, the Chichester, West Sussex-based post-punk revivalist trio TRAAMS feature singer/guitarist Stuart Hopkins, drummer Adam Share, and bassist Leigh Padley. The bandmembers fulfilled at Goo, a DJ night time Hopkins hosted at a pub in close by Bognor Regis, where he spun tunes by Wire, New Purchase, and Le Tigre along with mainstream pop and rap strikes. Bonding over their distributed flavor in music — which also included a fondness for McLusky, Pavement, Tv, and Kraftwerk — they started playing as TRAAMS in middle-2011 and documented some Krautrock-meets-punk demos on the phone. They delivered the demos to maker and former Check Icicles member Rory Atwell, and documented their first group of tunes with him in November 2011. They continuing dealing with him through 2012, and in addition signed with NOUVEAU RICHE BUSINESSMAN that 12 months. Early in 2013, they documented with Hookworms’ Matthew Johnson at his Leeds studio room and released the Ladders EP that June. TRAAMS’ 1st full-length, Grin, made an appearance that Sept. The music group reunited with Atwell for the Cissa EP, which found its way to July 2014. After relocating to Leeds, TRAAMS caused Johnson again on the second album, Contemporary Dancing, which found its way to late 2015.
