This Is Adelaide

Named after a little island from the coast of Antarctica, That is Adelaide started in Lansing, MI in January of 2000. Featuring ex-members from the Ivy Crown, the line-up of Ian Cartwright (acoustic guitar/vocals), Sami Jano (acoustic guitar/vocals), Kris Kaczor (drums/vocals), and Ryan Moon (bass/vocals) had been inspired from the post-punk loves of A Forest and Slint, adding their personal contact of absurd lyrics. Suburban Sprawl Music would ultimately release That is Adelaide’s self-titled debut EP within seven weeks of their development.
