The Prom

The Prom crafts emotive, sad piano pop that combines the lush, bittersweet sound of mid-70s Elton John using the eerie, cracked balladry from the Dark Heart Procession as well as the off-kilter grooves of Grandaddy. The group’s root base rest in Omaha, Nebraska where vocalist and pianist Adam Mendenhall and bassist David Broecker was raised playing within the city’s burgeoning indie rock and roll scene. Mendenhall transferred to Seattle in 1995 for artwork college, and in 1999, Broecker became a member of his outdated friend to create a new music group.
