The Glass Menagerie

After moving off their native Lancashire to get commercial success in London, Britain, this psych pop quartet released some singles for Pye Information and Polydor Information without ever completing an album. Composed of Costs Atkinson (drums), John Medley (bass), Alan Kendall (electric guitar) and Lou Stonebridge (vocals/harmonica), the group produced their debut in 1968 using the typically floral ‘She’s A Rainbow’. Two additional singles implemented for Pye within the same season, ‘You Don’t NEED TO BE So Great’ and ‘Frederick Jordan’, but neither reached the graphs. Moving to Polydor in 1969, ‘Possess You Neglected Who You Are’ and ‘Perform My Thing Myself’ didn’t rectify their industrial misfortune. Right now the group got followed a heavier, intensifying rock styled audio, which might have already been better sampled on a complete album release. Nevertheless, despite the lifestyle of an record acetate, Polydor dropped release a it officially as well as the group split up. Kendall eventually joined Toe Fats, while Stonebridge caused Paladin and McGuinness Flint.
