Mixing components of the Pixies, Tom Waits, Los Lobos, as well as the Buena Vista Interpersonal Club right into a powerful blend of alternate Latin surf rock, Brooklyn’s Cuban Cowboys were shaped in 2000 by singer, guitarist, and Miami indigenous Jorge Navarro (aka Hialeah Jorge), guitarist Luca Benedetti, bassist Madelyn Burgess, and drummer Child Chocolat (since changed by Chulito del Fuego).
