The Champaign-Urbana indie band Centaur formed in 1999. The trio comprises of guitarist/vocalist Matt Talbott (from HUM, Honcho Overload, and much more), bassist Derek Niedringhaus (of Big Shiny Lights, amongst others), and drummer Jim Kelly (also from Sixteen Lots).
