Steve Lehman

Saxophonist, composer, educator, and scholar Steve Lehman is really a forward-thinking musician with wide musical understanding from classical to jazz along with a bent toward executing avant-garde and contemporary creative jazz. Blessed in NEW YORK, Lehman examined saxophone in senior high school and eventually gained his B.A. in structure in 2000 and his M.A. in structure from Wesleyan School in 2002. From 2002-2003, Lehman examined in France being a Fulbright Scholar, researching how African-American experimental composers had been received in France in the 1970s. Whilst in college, Lehman examined with multi-reed participant Anthony Braxton and saxophonist Jackie McLean on the Hartt College of Music.
