Steel River

After four many years of amateur gigs and high-school dates around Toronto, Metal River began playing skillfully in 1969 and signed with Wednesday Records the next year. Off their 1970 debut record Weighin’ Large, “Ten Pound Be aware” became popular in Canada. Metal River split up 3 years after 1971’s AN IMPROVED Street, but re-formed in 1980 to record the one “Armoured Car.”
