Softengine

Shaped in the Finnish city of Seinäjoki during 2011, alt-rock five-piece Softengine quickly increased to fame after representing their country in the 2014 Eurovision Tune Contest. Lead vocalist and primary songwriter Topi Larukka asked close friends Ossi Mäkelä, Eero Keskinen, Henri Oskár, and Tuomo Alarinta to his grandparents’ cottage, where they started writing songs jointly. After playing displays locally and locating success in a variety of competitions, the clothing recorded a demonstration and posted it towards the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, the nationwide televised competition to discover a Eurovision Song Competition access. In 2014 their track “Something Better” noticed Softengine progress to the ultimate stages from the display, where they continued to win the opportunity to perform in the Copenhagen-hosted event. During this time period they were authorized by Sony Music, and after completing 11th in your competition they released “Something Better” as an individual, which charted in the U.K. and Germany and obtained number two within their homeland.
