Vocalist/songwriter Shannon O’Connor developed a pastime in music as a kid developing up in Pittsburgh, but became a skill pupil at Parsons College of Style in NEW YORK. An ardent environmentalist, she still left Parsons to visit the country learning using the Audobon Expedition Institute, and came across folk music on her behalf journeys. She came back to Parsons and completed her degree, after that went to Eugene Lang University where she researched composing with Sekou Sundiata at exactly the same time as another of Sundiata’s learners, Ani DiFranco. Settling in NEW YORK, O’Connor became an individual mom. The ambitious objective of her debut record, Low in Heaven, released in July 2005 by Varrga Information, was to utilize it to discover the daddy of her by-then ten-year-old girl.
