A multi-instrumentalist, Sammy Gardner studied clarinet in elementary college, then became a specialist while in senior high school. After military service, Gardner gained a degree in the St. Louis Institute of Music. He trained in St. Louis through the past due ’50s, then produced The Mound Town Six. He made an appearance in the Arthur Godfrey tv program in 1958, and acquired his very own St. Louis tv program for just two years.
