Saith Rhyfeddod

The music of Wales and Brittany was fused by Saith Rhyfeddod, an organization featuring the vocals of Essex, England-born and fluent Welsh speaker Julie Murphy and multilingual Breton singer Brigitte Kloareg. Associated with bagpipers Jonathan Shorland and Ceri Rhys Matthews, Murphy and Kloareg mixed to create an exceptionally harmonic knowledge. Saith Rhyfeddod emerged together soon after Murphy still left the Albion Music group, with whom she performed from 1990 to 1997. Among England’s best feminine vocalists, she’s continuing to attract interest since Saith Rhyfeddod’s disbanding. Her debut single album, Black Hill Revisited, was called Best Folk Record of 1999 by Mojo Mag. A much-respected folksong collector, ethnomusicologist, and choral movie director, Kloareg continues to execute with her girl, Katell.
