Ruder Than You was founded in 1989 in Penn State School in State University, PA. After graduation in 1990, the group relocated to Philadelphia. The band’s music depends intensely on traditional ska and dancehall reggae instead of punk ska, that was what the majority of their cohorts had been playing at that time. In 1992, they released their debut record, Big Stage, on Moon Information. Four years afterwards they implemented it up with Horny for Ska.
