Roberto Goyeneche

Mostly referred to as El Polaco, Argentinean singer Roberto Goyeneche became the archetype of 1950s Buenos Aires’ bohemian life, a full time income myth in the neighborhood music scene. It had been in 1944, at age 18, when the talented troubadour became a member of Raúl Kaplún’s orchestra after earning a local competition, soon, debuting reside in an area radio station known as Belgrano. In 1952, Roberto Goyeneche teamed up with Horacio Salgán and with Horacio Troilo in 1956, getting the 1st one documenting Astor Piazzolla’s traditional “Balada Para El Loco,” after beginning his solo profession in 1963. Through the 1980s, Roberto Goyeneche participated as unique guest in the films Un Exilio de Gardel and Sur.
