Robert Leiner

Unlike nearly all electronic artists, who is able to flip-flop between hardcore tracks and much more downbeat material but rarely master both, Robert Leiner documented excellent uptempo acid tracks as Source and (later on) the foundation Experience, meanwhile liberating under his own name one of the better ambient-techno albums from the ’90s, Visions of days gone by. Given birth to in Sweden in 1966, Leiner started DJing in the sensitive age group of 15 and setup his own studio room just a couple years later on. After recording songs for a number of different brands in his homeland, he relocated to Ghent, Belgium, and started doing work for R&S Information as a specialized specialist and sometime designer. Leiner’s first launch on R&S, an ultra-rare twelve-inch documented in 1992, was accompanied by his appearance on To be able to Dance, Vol. 4 mainly because Neuromancer. The next 12 months, he released his debut LP as Supply, Arranged Noise.
