Afterwards, in Hollywood, he proved helpful at many studios as both vocal trainer and composer, included in this Universal in which a regular collaborator was lyricist Diane Lampert. Movies which he proved helpful included RESTRAIN The Dawn (1941, composing the name melody), Hi, Great Lookin’! and Match Miss Bobby Socks (both 1944), both which highlighted his ‘Deacon Jones’, created with Johnny Lange and Hy Heath.
