Pachora

Pachora formed in the past due ’90s, melding Middle Eastern and Eastern Western musical affects into melodic and multi-rhythmic instrumental music. The music group consists of a fantastic and tasteful band of wise players: percussionist Jim Dark, clarinetist Chris Speed, guitarist Brad Shepik (who also takes on saz), and bassist Skuli Sverrisson. Pachora toured following the 1997 launch of their 1st, self-titled album, released on New York’s Knitting Manufacturing plant label. Their following two albums, 1999’s Unn and 2000’s Ast, had been released on a single label. Following the change of the millennium as well as the demise of Knitting Manufacturing plant, Pachora moved to Stefan Winter’s Winter season & Winter season label for 2003’s Astereotypical, which discovered the group still on the innovative upswing. The bandmembers had been occupied with a great many other carrying out and recording tasks because the 2000s advanced, but Pachora continued to be on the trunk burner, reconvening for periodic live shows, including a mini-tour from the U.S. Midwest in nov 2011.
