Oceano

Originally formed in 2006 like a grindcore band simply by guitarist Jeremy Carroll, Chicago’s Oceano experienced a revolving cast of players until buying a fresh lineup and a fresh sound in 2007. That lineup, comprising Andrew Mikhail (acoustic guitar), Danny Terchin (drums), Adam Warren (vocals), and Kevin Colabuono (bass), would continue to build up the audio they’d try the world within their 1st recordings. Pressing the limitations of intense music and affected by Behemoth as well as the Acacia Stress, the music group transitioned right into a heavier, even more technical death metallic sound. This modification was helped along by implementing the seriously detuned “lowered A” in one of Mikhail’s previous bands, developing a acoustic guitar audio that was as solid and murky as Warren’s anguished growls. In 2008, the music group authorized to Earache Information, and began much touring routine. That 12 months also found the departure of Carroll and Colabuono as well as the introduction of bassist Jason Jones. In ’09 2009, the music group released its full-length debut, Depths, on Earache Information. They followed another 12 months with second recording Contagion. Sometime around 2012 the music group went on a short hiatus, amid rumours flying that these were splitting up. They rather returned heavier than ever before in 2013 with third record Incisions. Another few years noticed a lot more lineup adjustments, as guitarists Michael Kasper and Scott Smith became a member of the fold, as do previous Monsters bassist Chris Wagner. Using a revitalized lineup, the music group completed focus on their even more atmospheric fourth record, Ascendants, that was released in the springtime of 2015.
