The Mean Crimson Spiders came together in 1993 in Toronto, Canada. After some lineup adjustments, the group documented and released their debut recording Places You Contact House in 1998. They adopted that effort using the full-length LP Starsandsons in 2000. David Humphreys, Greg Chambers, and Lisa Nighswander fulfilled during the past due 1980s while operating at an archive shop in downtown Toronto. Klygo had a pal named Tag Dipetro who released the Compact disc on his label Teenage USA Recordings in June 1998. Following a launch, the Mean Crimson Spiders tripped to tour Halifax, Canada; play at the brand new York CMJ meeting; and perform in the North-by-Northeast event. They also backed such functions as Blonde Redhead, Sam Prekop, Super Furry Pets, Bardo Fish pond, Low, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ida, and Mojave 3 during this time period. These tours had been accompanied by the band’s early 2000 launch of their second full-length recording Starsandsons on Teenage USA Recordings.
