Matt Jones

Michigan indigenous Matt Jones is a talented singer/songwriter whose strategy runs from rootsy acoustic music to intelligent indie rock and roll. Given birth to in Adrian, Michigan in 1978, Jones started playing piano at age 8 and got addicted to classic ragtime; later on, he performed sousaphone in his high school’s music group. As Jones used guitar, he began writing his personal songs and started making his method in to the Southeast Michigan musical community after settling in Ypsilanti, Michigan, posting stages and showing up on recordings by famous brands Kyle Norris and Chris Bathgate. Jones produced his saving debut in 2005 using the EP To Arms, acknowledged to Matt Jones & the Reconstruction (the band’s name is due to Jones’ enthusiasm for Civil Battle history). In ’09 2009, Jones released his 1st full-length recording, an eclectic and cautiously orchestrated piece entitled The Dark Path. The recording was critically well-received, but Jones offers said coping with the adulation of his peers was hard, and resulted in an interval while he dropped into alcohol misuse. This year 2010, Jones was within an car crash while intoxicated; the knowledge forced him to obtain a better manage on his behaviour about music and existence. Jones’ next work, 2012’s Fifty percent Poison, Fifty percent Pure, was a literate but even more musically upbeat work that added higher traditional rock components to the music while still keeping his artful method of both lyrics and melody.
