Main Attrakionz certainly are a rap duo from North Oakland whose laid-back rhymes and dreamy, ethereal beats earned them compliment as pioneers of the underground motion called “Cloud Rap” through the early 2010s. Both rappers included, MondreM.A.N and Squadda B., began recording collectively in junior high. By enough time these were 19 years of age, they’d became a member of up with a talented collective of left-field Bay Region rap functions and electronic suppliers known as Green Ova. There, Primary Attrakionz carved out their personal market, rapping over hypnotic beats with chillwave atmospherics. Sites quickly found around the duo’s exclusive design, and their profile grew up exponentially when NY City-based clothes brand Mishka released 808s & Dark Grapes II as a free of charge download in 2011. The mixtape presented creation by Clams Gambling establishment, Silky Johnson, Key pad Child, Friendzone, and additional key architects from the cloud rap sound, and a visitor appearance with a then-obscure A$AP Rocky. Over time of under-the-radar mixtapes, Primary Attrakionz re-emerged in 2015 with 808s & Dark Grapes III on Vapor Information, produced completely by outdated cohort Friendzone.
