Lume

Guitarist Matthew Schwandt and bassist Jeff Zuehlke were two likeminded players who also found themselves within the same Minneapolis rings through the entire mid-’90s. Schwandt relocated to Nashville in 1997, conference up with guitarist Micah Horton nearly immediately. Both became fast songwriting buddies, ultimately putting together plenty of materials to warrant live shows. Therefore the two music artists drafted in Zuehlke, drummer Matt Fisher, and vocalist Tom Hockensmith, and in 2000 the fivesome made a decision to contact the music group Lume. The group chosen a powerful, passionate alternative rock and roll sound, and began piecing together its 1st EP, entitled Prolonged Play; the bandmembers documented in Nashville and released it themselves in the summertime of 2002. The record do well within the CMJ graphs and led these to a collaboration with Wilco and Sixpence non-e the Richer executive/production group Russ Very long and Chris Grainger, with whom they documented new materials in 2003.
