Launching his first album well into his fifties, crooner Louie Austen became an unlikely fixture in the Austrian dance scene because of his unique fusion of jazz-pop and electronica. Delivered Alois Luef in Vienna in 1946, the classically educated vocalist performed on levels in L.A. and NY in the 1970s before going for a residency on the Cascade Club in his hometown.
