La Castañeda

Acquiring its name from a psychiatric hospital in Mexico City, la Castañeda surfaced in the first ’90s, debuting with an unbiased album known as Servicios Generales before registering to BMG’s Culebra, issuing Servicios Generales II in 1993, internationally released by BMG/Ariola a year later. The music group led by vocalist Salvador Moreno utilized to execute its deep and obscure tracks in dark conditions, creating the perfect atmosphere because of its Latin substitute pop/rock design. After 1995’s Un Globo Negro and 1996’s Un Hijo de Plata, la Castañeda self-produced Trance distributed through Castañeda Records-Pentagrama, following a farewell tour known as Desaparición (Disappearance) in past due 2000.
