Born the kid of the Vienna composer/conservatory instructor and an opera-singer mom, John Tejada is really a classically trained techno changeling. Since debuting within the middle-’90s, he’s racked up an extraordinary, acclaimed catalog of albums, singles, and DJ mixes which range from minimal techno to melodic IDM/glitch, in addition to electro and hip-hop, including collaborations with renowned MC Divine Styler. Furthermore, he’s released many albums of downtempo post-rock as you fifty percent of the duo I’m Not really a Weapon. He’s also extremely prolific being a remixer, with customers like the Postal Program (“Such Great Levels”), Télépopmusik, Kevin Saunderson, and many more. Raised in LA, Tejada performed piano and drums as a kid, then began hearing hip-hop and electro, starting his DJ profession by playing out in those designs. After hearing the Detroit techno plans thanks to recordings by Juan Atkins and Derrick Might, Tejada began making. During 1996 by itself he documented two singles for A13 Information (as Lucid Wish) and an EP for Electric powered Ladyland (as Autodidact). Early the next 12 months, his debut Lucid Desire recording, Pure Punk, made an appearance, followed by an individual for Plug Study as Mr. Hazeltine. Following the 1997 Plug Study & Advancement compilation gained kudos round the home-listening techno community, Tejada created his personal label, Palette Information; collaborated with Joe Babylon of Plug Study and Allen Avanessian as Frankie Carbone; and documented by himself for Organised Sound, Ferox, and 7th Town. His first recording, Little Green Lamps and Four In . Faders, appeared in 1998 on A13 Information. Downtempo recording The Matrix folks adopted on deFocus in 2000. Backstock, a constantly combined wrap-up of his Palette label recordings, premiered in 2001, and his third complete creation LP — Daydreams in WINTER — followed twelve months down the road Plug Study. From that time, Tejada kicked his launch schedule into a straight higher gear, particularly when it found full-length tasks. He collaborated on some albums with Arian Leviste: Fairfax Sake (Playhouse, 2003), The Dot as well as the Collection (Moods & Grooves, 2004), and Back again for Fundamentals (Palette, 2005). There have been the single discs The Toiling of Idle Hands (Immigrant, 2003), Reasoning Memory Middle (Plug Study, 2004), Cleaning Seems Is really a Filthy Business (Palette, 2006), and Where (Palette, 2008). Within I’m Not really a Weapon, an instrumental rock and roll duo in cooperation with Takeshi Nishimoto, Tejada created four albums for Town Centre Offices and something for Palette. In 2008, he combined the 44th level of the Fabric series, and released Where on Palette. He also released two quantities of Retrieved Data (some early materials) under his personal name, in addition to Retrieved Data ’95 as Lucid Desire. In 2011, Tejada authorized to renowned German techno label Kompakt, an all natural house for his make of tuneful, elaborate techno. Following Unstable Condition EP, the full-length Parabolas found its way to June. The Predicting Machine implemented in 2012, with many non-album singles showing up afterwards. Symptoms Under Test, Tejada’s third record for Kompakt, premiered in 2015. Many even more singles for Kompakt, Palette, and Residual Recordings implemented, and in 2016 Tejada started collaborating with Tin Guy for some acid solution techno EPs on Acidity Test.
