Chicago blues drummer Joe Poston shouldn’t be baffled with the sooner Joe “Doc” Poston, who was simply clarinetist Jimmie Noone’s melodic darkness in the Windy Town. The drummer spent some time working with Lovie Lee and will be noticed on many of that pianist’s Earwig recordings.
