Jet Dark Crayon may be the instrumental post-rock outlet for former professional skater Tommy Guerrero, who also produces more eclectic, hip-hop oriented units under his personal name. (Back the 1980s, Guerrero was also the bassist within the famous — mostly for their really superb name — skatepunk clothing Free Ale, whose career summary The Only Ale That Matters premiered on Alternate Tentacles in 2002.) Following a launch of his 1st solo recording, Loose Grooves and Bastard Blues, in 1998, Guerrero was asked to open up for Chicago post-rock clothing Isotope 217.
