Best-known because the chainsaw-playing frontman from the rowdy Southern hard rock-band Jackyl, Jesse James Dupree elected to pursue a single side task in 2000, forming a backing band featuring guitarist John Hayes and Brother Cane bassist Roman Glick. Released that summer season, the resulting recording, Foot Fetish, offered Dupree an opportunity to explore additional favorite musical affects, through the Who to ’60s R&B. In 2008 Dupree released his second single recording, Rev It Up and Go-Go. Referred to as “20 paths of crunchy rock and roll, cool nation and old-timey radio display revelry”, the recording featured a little army of music artists and close friends known collectively mainly because “Dixie Inc.”
