Adam Curly Cooke — whose middle name may also be spelled “Curley” and who’s also also known as Curly Cooke — is a superb guitarist who’s never quite gotten his thanks, in spite of very well-known professional collaborations with Steve Miller, Jerry Garcia, Boz Scaggs, and Ben Sidran. Cooke was area of the unique Steve Miller Music group, and is at the lineup that supported Chuck Berry in the Fillmore Western and played in the Monterey Pop Event. He was later on changed in Miller’s group from the leader’s boyhood friend Boz Scaggs, and consequently used Scaggs in addition to returning to use Miller on Soar As an Eagle along with other 1970s tasks. He also made an appearance with NATURE on Create a Joyful Sound (1969), and caused Garcia and Howard Wales for the Hooteroll? recording in 1971. Through the 1970s, he was most noticeable on albums by Scaggs and Sidran.
