Contrary to the actual band’s name might indicate, Illinois shaped in Pa — Bucks State to be specific. Comprised of music artists Chris Archibald (vocals, electric guitar, banjo, tips), Andrew Lee (electric guitar, tips), Martin Hoeger (bass), and John-Paul Kuyper (drums), Illinois forged a method of indie rock and roll that mixed the grit and punchiness from the Light Stripes using the easygoing vibe of Arcade Fireplace. Illinois released their initial EP, The actual Hell Do I UNDERSTAND?, in the springtime of 2007 via Ace Fu Information. The one We Were Incorrect followed a season later.
