Hey Monday

Led by powerhouse vocalist Cassadee Pope, Hey Mon debuted their fizzy emo-pop sound with 2008’s Hang on Tight. The music group formed in Western Palm Seaside, FL, where Pope was initially found out at a local music meeting. Although still in senior high school, the vocalist drew interest from A&R execs with her tone of voice, which recalled the radio-ready wail of Avril Lavigne and Paramore’s Hayley Williams. She after that formed a music group with fellow teens Shirt Moriarty (bass), Elliot Adam (drums), and guitarists Mike Gentile and Alex Lipshaw. Shedding their first name (Blake) and only Hey Mon, the group ultimately earned over A&R exec Jay Harren, who agreed upon the music group to Columbia Information. Hey Monday after that entered the saving studio room with S*A*M & Sluggo, the creation group behind albums by Metro Place as well as the Academy Can be…, and readied the discharge of their debut record. Hang on Tight found its way to Oct 2008 under a joint relationship with Columbia and Pete Wentz’s very own label, Decaydance. The group spent another year touring, helping FALLOUT Boy and everything Time Low aswell as spending time being a headlining work. Close to the end of 2009, drummer Adam left the music group and was changed by Patrick McKenzie. The music group after that spent the initial half of 2010 documenting new tracks (with program drummer Stacy Jones behind the drum package), and released the six-song EP Beneath EVERYTHING in August.
