Grootna

Grootna was an organization located in Berkeley, CA, formed in 1971 by vocalist Anna Rizzo, business lead guitarist Vic Smith, pianist Richard Sussman, tempo guitarist Slim Possibility (a/k/a Austin DeLone), bassist Kelly Bryan, and drummer Dewey DaGrease (a/k/a Greg Dewey). The music group acquired well-known SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA concert promoter Costs Graham as its supervisor and agreed upon a agreement with Columbia Information. Its self-titled debut record was made by previous Jefferson Aircraft member Marty Balin and released in Dec 1971. It didn’t chart. Grootna continuing to perform throughout the Bay Region into the summer months of 1972, after that broke up, and previous members joined up with with Balin in another short-lived music group, Bodacious D.F.
