George the Poet

Given birth to George Mpanga in London’s Caribbean-centric Harlesden area on January 4, 1991, George the Poet is usually a socially and politically charged spoken term designer, rapper, writer, and presenter. Mpanga spent his formative years mired in the rap and grime picture, but by enough time he had covered up his politics, mindset, and sociology research at Kings University, Cambridge, he previously lost his flavor for the greater excess-laden areas of the genre. Sketching on his research, aswell as his inner-city upbringing, Mpanga started honing his art, relying much less on hip-hop genre tropes and even more on slam poet-kissed interpersonal commentary. He released his debut EP, The Poultry & Egg, in 2013, and in November of 2014 was short-listed for the Critic’s Choice category at the next year’s Brit Honours.
