Executioner

Boston, MA, swiftness steel trio Executioner was formed in 1984 by vocalist and guitarist Marc Johnson, bassist Ari Vianio, and drummer Dan Scannell. Their debut record, In the Name of Steel, premiered by the brand new Renaissance label in 1986, and was accompanied by a U.S. tour also offering underground favorites Voivod, Kreator, St. Vitus, and Wish Loss of life. This tour also offered to introduce brand-new bassist Seth Putnam, who go on to execute on Executioner’s 1987 sophomore work, Break the Silence, but eventually left to discovered Anal Cunt.
