Eureka Birds

Eureka Parrots are an atmospheric indie pop act from Baltimore, Maryland whose lush, low-key audio has won them a substantial following for the East Coastline. Citing the Decemberists and Radiohead as essential influences, Eureka Wild birds were shaped in 2007 by vocalist, composer, keyboard participant, and multi-instrumentalist Justin Levy, though he previously been writing tracks that would type the project’s repertoire since 2004. After Levy partnered with guitarist Dave Rogoza, both recruited a pocket-sized orchestra, filled with strings and horns, to record Eureka Wild birds’ self-titled debut record in 2008, that was created and documented by Tyler Watkins of Margot & the Nuclear Therefore and So’s. This year 2010, Eureka Wild birds went back in to the studio room with Watkins to record an EP, Eureka!, which highlighted a more extra and stripped-down musical strategy. (Watkins also performed bass around the Eureka! classes.) As the group toured in a number of configurations (occasionally as a complete music group, sometimes like a two-piece with Levy became a member of by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Collins), by 2013 Eureka Parrots had established a well balanced lineup, with Levy and Rogoza became a member of by bassist Scott Hesel and drummer Dan Vellucci. This release of the music group went in to the studio room, with Watkins once more in the settings, to slice their second full-length recording, Strangers. An individual, “Mila Don’t Make a Audio,” premiered in August 2013, using the associated album due the next October.
