Emo Philips

Among the strangest (in looks, demonstration, and attitude) of the existing crop of new comics, Emo Philips has already reached something of the semi-stardom through his numerous cable-TV appearences. He requires the warped sensibility of Andy Kaufman to another extreme. A little like hearing an extraterrestrial performing schtick, and nearly as funny in places. Not at all everybody’s glass of tea.
