Elliott Brood

Canadian alt-folk/nation group Elliott Brood shaped in 2002 based throughout the songwriting of Windsor, Ontario natives Tag Sasso and Casey Laforet. Motivated by their shared admiration for Neil Youthful, the Band, as well as the Traveling Burrito Brothers, both friends started playing together like a duo in Toronto. During among their earliest displays, they befriended soundman Stephen Pitkin, who became included 1st as their maker and later on as their full-time percussionist. Implementing a rural-themed visual, the group released its first EP, Tin Type, packed inside a paper handbag that also included a handmade Aged West-style photo reserve. In 2013 they revisited the audio of their first release using the all-acoustic Tin Type II EP. Dealing with an outside manufacturer for the very first time, they enlisted Ian Blurton to record their 4th LP, 2014’s Function and Love.
