Cotton Jones Container Trip materialized in 2007 seeing that a car for Maryland-based vocalist/songwriter Michael Nau after his popular indie rock and roll outfit Web page France made a decision to have a break. Mining the same mildly psychedelic indie pop place as his earlier project but having a decidedly even more folky, experimental bent, Nau and bandmate Whitney McGraw released three EPs beneath the moniker on Quite Scientific Information, including a short limited self-titled installment that quickly sold-out, accompanied by two “artwork publication” EPs, The Archery as well as the Ranger. After shedding “Basket Trip” from your name, Natural cotton Jones released Paranoid Cocoon for fresh label Suicide Press in early 2009, accompanied by High Hours in the Glowstream a 12 months later on. The EP Sit down Beside Your Vegetables found its way to 2011. After a rest from recording, where the duo had been married and began a family group, Nau gathered an array of left behind material from the prior many years and flipped them into finished songs for any solo album. Having a serene feeling and nature styles, Mowing premiered in early 2016, also on Suicide Press.
