Chuck Roberson

Blessed in Augusta, GA, spirit vocalist Chuck Roberson and his family members relocated to Madison, FL, where Roberson discovered his like of music. Affected by such performers as Bobby Bland, Small Milton, Tyrone Davis, and O.V. Wright, amongst others, Roberson started his musical profession in the middle-’70s. He released many singles on the tiny Albradella record label, including such game titles as “ROMANCE,” “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Eliminated,” and “PERSONALLY I THINK It Arriving,” which liked regional achievement but didn’t break through nationally. In the past due ’70s, Roberson relocated to Philadelphia hoping of releasing a disco profession, but eventually came back back in 1983. Many more singles adopted, which resulted in a record cope with the Ecko label in the ’90s, producing a steady blast of full-length albums, including 1996’s Something Healthy, 1997’s Meet up with Me Tonight, 1999’s Like Power, 2000’s Like Freak, and 2001’s I’m Your Candy Guy. Roberson’s music and sexually billed subject matter demonstrates that of such spirit/R&B performers as Barry White colored.
