Child’s View

Child’s Look at was the alias of experimental electronic composer, DJ, and maker Nobukazu Takemura, who was simply given birth to in Japan on August 26, 1968. After starting his DJing profession in senior high school, he quickly graduated to golf club looks throughout Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, and in 1987 founded the DJ collective Great Jazz Productions; a 12 months later on, Takemura also became a member of the Boredoms’ Vision Yamatsuka within the important hip-hop outfit Sound Sports. His preliminary forays into development led to an appearance around the Jazz Hip Jap compilation, and in 1992, Takemura continuing growing his horizons with the forming of the acidity jazz group Religious Vibes. He released a single recording, also known as Child’s Look at, in 1994; a remixed release from the record quickly followed, as do remixes for famous brands Tortoise. In 1997, he also collaborated with Japan alumni Richard Barbieri and Steve Jansen around the recording Changing Hands. The founder of his personal label, Idyllic Information International, Takemura used the Child’s Look at alias release a the excellent Funfair, issued within the U.S. on Bubble Primary Information in early 1999.
