Charles Brett

British countertenor Charles Brett is among the leading specialists from the Baroque choral and oratorio repertoire. He researched at King’s University, Cambridge, producing his London debut in 1965 within a efficiency of Bach’s Magnificat. In 1983, he co-founded the Amaryllis Consort, which he was also the movie director. He has produced many recordings, including Purcell’s Fairy Queen (beneath the baton of Benjamin Britten) and birthday odes, Bach’s Mass in B small, and many Handel oratorios.
