Capsicum Red

Produced in Treviso, Italy, in 1970, Capsicum Crimson were destined to be among the era’s most adventurous (albeit shortlived) rings, although few people could possess guessed that from hearing their earliest produces. Putting your signature on to Bla Bla, the music group issued their initial one, the delightfully pop-flavored “Sea”/”She’s A Stranger”, early the next year and quickly scored popular – intriguingly, but certainly effectively, Bla Bla marketed Capsicum Crimson as a United kingdom transfer! “Tarzan”/”Shangri-La”, the band’s second one, was similarly designed (and similarly effective), and it had been 1973 before Capsicum Crimson truly uncovered their musical motives, across an amazing debut record. Appunti per un’idea fissa was unrelentingly intensifying, layered with traditional overtones – included in this a 15 minute interpretation of Beethoven’s Pathetique piano sonata – but also punctuated with the band’s very own gripping songwriting. However, the stylistic change was too huge for the group’s proved market. Appunti per un’idea fissa sank such as a rock and, by the finish of the entire year, Capsicum Crimson acquired folded. Canzian quickly formed a fresh music group, Pooh, and released an instantaneous (and profitable) go back to the pop-based glories of early Capsicum Crimson; bassist Paolo Steffan afterwards resurfaced as you half of the united states rock and roll duo Genova & Steffan.
