Candy Band

Made up of stay-at-home moms who had noticed enough of regular children’s music, Candy Strap — vocalist Daniela Burckhardt, guitarist Paula Messner (ex-Motor Dolls as well as the Vertical Cushions), bassist Anita Kelly, and drummer Tammy Ristau — perform pop-punk-style versions of classic children’s tunes. Playing at colleges and libraries as well as the standard bar, Candy Music group have appeared around the Today Display and on CBS’ Morning hours Show. Since developing in 2003, they possess documented four albums — Chocolate Band, More Chocolate, LolliPunk, and Phoning All Children (the record cover a reworking from the Clash’s London Contacting).
