Bill Watrous

Among the finest bop-oriented trombonists of days gone by 30 years, Costs Watrous has already established a minimal profile since moving to LA in the 1980s in spite of remaining quite dynamic. His dad was a trombonist and presented Costs to music. He performed in traditional jazz rings as an adolescent and examined with Herbie Nichols within the armed forces. Watrous produced his debut with Billy Butterfield, and was among the trombonists in Kai Winding’s groupings during 1962-1967.
