Bénabar

Vocalist/songwriter Bénabar emerged in the vanguard of France’s “chanson réaliste” motion, crafting uncommonly literary portraits of modern existence informed by folk, jazz, and film. Given birth to Bruno Nicolini on June 16, 1969, within the Paris suburb of Essonne, he began monitoring trumpet at age group eight, and after completing college spent half a year within the U.S. There his longtime desire for filmmaking grew, and upon coming back home he educated being a professional photographer and film specialist, at age group 20 composing and directing his initial brief film, Nada Lezard. Dubbed Bénabar et Associés, they released their debut LP, La P’tite Monnaie, in early 1998, spending a lot of the entire year to seriously tour. Upon putting your signature on with main label Zomba, Bénabar released a self-titled record in Sept 2001, accompanied by a protracted tour to get Henri Salvador. The LP proceeded to go gold, and 18 months afterwards Bénabar released the follow-up, Les Risques du Métier. Another milling tour schedule implemented, yielding the concert established Live au Grand Rex. With 2005’s Reprise des Négociations, Bénabar released his most close collection up to now, eschewing the cultural commentary which was the sign of prior records and only even more explicitly autobiographical materials, like the lead one, “Maritie and Gilbert Carpentier.” For the pumps of Reprise, Bénabar extended his réamounté to professional, as he made an appearance in several movies. However, Bénabar came back to music 3 years afterwards in 2008 with Infrequentable.
