Antonio Bazzini had the fortune to be encourged by Paganini becoming, young, among the foremost violinists of his period. At about age 45 he committed himself expressly to structure and scored several chamber parts unlike his previous famous operatic illusion “La ronde des lutins, Elegie”. Bazzini constructed operas, cantatas, overtures, and symphonic poems. The chamber functions rmained his compositional forte.
