An up-and-coming shape in American avant-garde jazz, Adam James Wilson started his youthful career like a composer before turning resolutely to performance. An advocate of microtonality, he takes on a fretless guitar, a seven-string electrical violin, along with a self-built look-alike of Harry Partch’s Harmonic Cannon I. Since 2000 he continues to be energetic on the northeastern U.S. free of charge improv scene, primarily with ties to NY and Boston. His 1st album arrived in 2002. Wilson was created in 1975.
