An up-and-coming shape in American avant-garde jazz, Adam James Wilson started his youthful career like a composer before turning resolutely to performance. An advocate of microtonality, he takes on a fretless guitar, a seven-string electrical violin, along with a self-built look-alike of Harry Partch’s Harmonic Cannon I.
